A modern hotel with glass façade overlooking the landscaped gardens of Stormont Castle, the Stormont Hotel lies four miles east of Belfast city center. The 105 air-conditioned guestrooms are decorated in neutral tones with oak furniture; all include satellite television, high-speed Internet connections, tea and coffee making facilities and complimentary toiletries.


Guests at the hotel can enjoy a choice of dining in the hotel's two restaurants. La Scala Bistro offers informal, contemporary dining and is open for breakfast lunch and dinner daily. Alternatively, Shiraz Restaurant offers fine dining with an international menu and award winning wines. The hotel has a lounge bar where guests can unwind with a drink before and after dinner and there are dial-up Internet connections and a concierge to aid guests in locating local attractions. Other places of interest include Stormont Castle and Gardens, a Titanic Exhibition and Ards Peninsula, all within eight miles (13 kilometers) of the hotel. Belfast International Airport is 20 miles (32 kilometers) from the hotel. Trains run to Belfast Central and Victoria Street stations, leaving from the station adjacent to the airport. Taxis operate from an approved rank directly outside the terminal building. A bus service operates from the terminal to Belfast Europa Bus Centre. From the center of Belfast guests should take bus numbers 16, 17 or 20 for Newtownards.
