in the highlands, Malaysia’s
climate is hot and humid year round. Average daily temperatures
vary from about 20° to 30°C (about 70° to
90°F). Average annual rainfall for the peninsula
is about 2,500 mm (about 100 in). The exposed northern
slopes of Sarawak and Sabah receive as much as 5,080
mm (200 in) of rain per year.
